The Model 556, our top-of-the-line surgical stool, features an upholstered three-way, wrap-around-arm for exceptional abdominal, back or arm support. Its deep, polyfoam seat offers support and comfort for lengthy procedures and long days in the O.R. Floor lock optional. 
Exceptional Stability All Series 500 stools have five legs to distribute weight evenly and ensure stability. Furthermore, the circumference of the base exceeds that of the seat to maintain stability even in the elevated sit-stand position. Mobility is provided by rugged two-and-a-half inch casters molded from hard rubber. 

Adjust Height Hands-Free A convenient foot pedal easily raises or lowers the stool height without using hands. Total vertical travel is 7.5 inches. 

Swivel 360° Seats on all 500 Series Stools swivel 360° independent of the base, so height isn't affected. Swivel of stool seat may be locked by lifting foot pedal. 

Choice of Three Heights STANDARD seat height spans from 17 1/2 to 25" above the floor. MEDIUM seat height , for surgical use, spans from 20 1/2 to 28". Add "M" to stool model number when ordering. HIGH seat height, for surgical use, spans from 24" to 31 1/2". Add "H" to stool model number. 

Finished for Durability All exposed metal, with the exception of the aluminum base casting, is chrome-plated steel. Base casting and legs are finished in tough, black epoxy enamel. 


Upholstery All stools come with black upholstery as standard. But you can match your office or treatment room decor with our selection of 14 easy-to-maintain vinyl colors. The Model 558 Stool was created to provide optimal stability, flexibility and comfort for physicians during the most delicate surgical procedures. It can be used with any Reliance chair or stretcher.

Ergonomic Design The Model 558 was designed to provide maximum comfort and support for the practitioner's back, arms and wrists. 

Upholstered armrests support the practitioner's forearms. For comfort, they adjust vertically and lock in place. For convenience, the angle of the arms can be adjusted and locked into place, then rotated freely to the rear upon completion of the procedure. 

Back Rest For extra lumbar support, the upholstered back rest adjusts vertically, tilts forward and locks in place.
