OCULUS SDI II (Stereoscopic Diagonal Inverter) Bimanual surgery under natural viewing conditions Wide angle systems such as BIOM 3 or APL for observation of the ocular fundus deliver an inverted image, rendering them unsuitable for bimanual vitreous surgery. When used with the operating microscope, the SDI erects the inverted image of a wide-angle observation system while maintaining correct stereopsis, thus enabling bimanual vitreous surgery under panoramic viewing conditions. Easy handling of the SDI II The SDI II is available in two different versions, a manual type, IIm, independent from electrical supply, and the II e for increased comfort. Now available: SDI 3e This version enables, in combination with the BIOM 3e, a motorized focus of the image. |
